Value Plan in the Kingdom. FOURTH REPORT

In July, August and September, we continued our ‘powered by Hive’ activities in the Kingdom. We received @ValuePlan support for them in the amount of 3600 HBD. These funds were split into two parts. One covered the rent (1950 HBD) and the other we used for promotion (1650 HBD).

Rent

In principle, anyone can hold an open event in the Kingdom free of charge. Some groups wanting to help support the venue rent it out for their events, even though it is open. This is how Thursdays (@czwartek), for example, operates. The rental rate is set out in the official list of rewards for support - 10 HBD per hour. This is how all ‘powered by Hive’ events were billed. And where did the funds go? They went to the Kingdom Development Fund.

In total, the Kingdom held 27 events 'powered by Hive'. To this must be added Polish lessons for Ukrainian refugees. A total of 195 hours.

Promotion

During July, August and September, we continued the Facebook promotional campaign that we started in May. It consists of rewarding our followers' activity with RCRT tokens. These tokens can be exchanged in the Kingdom for various things, mainly something to drink. We have spent most of the money from this pot on purchasing supplies.

In addition to the drinks, we bought the necessary materials to conduct the workshops and to complete the escape room, which will be one of the most important elements of the promotion this autumn. In total, we spent 1650 HBD on purchases over three months.

When we launched our campaign in May, we expected results better than paying the corporation for sponsored posts. However, we didn't think the results would be so good. Now the traffic on our profile is so high that Facebook has offered us monetisation. We will not take up this offer. It is enough for us that the number of new people coming to the Kingdom has increased significantly. Of course, this has an impact on onboarding new people to Hive.

Conclusions

It's hard to believe, but a simple action using tokenisation and backed by the funds from Value Plan has spurred huge change in the Kingdom. The effect is that Facebook algorithms show our events to new people who visit our venue. So we are slowly solving our biggest problem - the barrier to getting information about the Kingdom out to new people. Of course, the support of Value Plan was of paramount importance here. We were able to make progress in six months that we hadn't made in two years. Unfortunately, it is impossible to continue so many activities on a volunteer basis alone. Therefore, in October we plan to submit a DHF proposal with many new ideas (such as the Hive Coding School). With it, we want to create a more professional team to promote the Kingdom and Hive.
