My Actifit Report Card: 2024/06/16 Leg Day, Protein Overload, Cafe, Dinner, Darts

So yesterday I started the day early by going to the gym. I did go hard with my workout, and coupled with the long day I had, I am now feeling the after effects 😆. In almost all my posts I always say I am tired and sometimes also being lazy. Yet, I still do stuff that makes me tired and lazy. Why am I even doing this to myself lol.

Anyways, the gym was empty except one other person that was about to finish, I had the gym to myself. It was surprising since, last year, I’ve been going to the gym around the same time every Saturday and Sunday morning and it’s usually the same 4-5 people. But I didn’t see them this time. Even as the time passed by I haven’t seen them come. Maybe they changed their schedules or moved or something. Not that we are friends or even talk but it’s like losing some gym buddies lol 😆

But these were my sets yesterday:

RDL: 8x2 20kgx2 4 20kgx2 (pause)

Hip thrust (single-leg, dumbell): 8x3 20kg (per leg)

Hip Abduction: 8x2 82kg 6 82kg

Leg Press: 8 65kgx2 8 67.25kgx2 6 67.5kgx2

Bulgarian Split Squats: 8x3 8kgx2

First time in while to do 5 exercises for leg day. I was dead tired right after but it’s still a long day ahead. I didn’t plan on going out after during the day because it’s really hot and humid out in the summer but it the forecast changed to rain, so I decided to go with my friends who were planning to overload with protein. Well, I also need a lot of protein the recovery. After waiting for my laundry and hang everything, I head out.

Lately I noticed 8’ve been meeting my friends every weekend. Well not that I am complaining as I always enjoy my time with them but my bank account has been screaming at me due to our spending but I just ignored it 😆.

Okay back to my day yesterday. So we had our lunch at a restaurant that offers high-protein, low-calorie meals. I might write a separate blog for this if I don’t feel lazy. I had chicken and salmon with rice set. I didn’t look a lot but I was stuffed and felt like I’d burst 😆. I hit around half my target intake of protein with just that one meal, this was about 70g protein.

After lunch, we went out to hunt for desserts next but were distracted with the shops we passed by. We did some window shopping for a bit and then finally settled in a cafe somewhere around the neighborhood.

I wanted to try something different than my usual go to chocolate cake or shortcakes, and got myself a lemon cake. I was expecting it to be sour but I just didn’t really like the taste overall. It’s seldom for me not to like food but when it comes to cake, anything citrusy is a no for me. Well at least I satisfied my curiosity.

After a lot of talking, I had to separate from the group for a while for my dental appointment. It was supposed to take some time but the clinic was empty. I was immediately ushered in about 30mins earlier my appointment and I finished immediately. It was already around 6pm but it was still bright outside so I was able to appreciate the hydrangeas on the way to the clinic.

I went back to where the group was and joined them shopping. Well they were shopping and I was just helping find what they were looking for and tempt them to buy. After the shopping (and window shopping for me) we went to dinner. More protein. I also just realized I’ve been eating chicken skewers lately, on the same restaurant but different branches 😆 Like pokemon, gotta catch them all 😆.

And then after some long talks and dinner, we again spent our time playing darts. Originally it was karaoke but only an hour of karaoke is not enough lol and not everyone would enjoy it I guess? This time we only played only until we can catch our last trains. But still I am feeling fatigued today. Such a long day yesterday.

Only time I won lol
