Yesterday, I woke up very early, around 3am. How did it happen? Well, the other day after work, I told myself I’d lie down for a bit. Little did I know I was scamming myself. Next thing I knew it was the next day, 3am. I tried to sleep a bit more since it’s too early, but alas, I just kept tossing and turning. It wasn’t until around 4am I decided to jut get up. I had a bagel and banana to eat before heading to the gym. Unlike after work, the gym was kinda empty. I saw a few guys working out but I was still able to hoard a machine for a couple of my sets.
Workout yesterday:
RDL: 8x2 20kgx2 6 20kgx2 (pause)
Hip Thrust(single-leg, dumbell): 8x3 20kg (per leg)
Hip Abduction: 8x2 82kg 6 82kg
Leg Press: 8 65kgx2 8 67.25kgx2 6 67.5kgx2
Bulgarian Split Squats: 8x2 8kgx2 7 8kgx2
Since it’s now summer here in Japan, I’d like to get back into my morning schedule of going to the gym. If I do it after work, I’d have to face the humidity 😖 Also there are too many new gym members recently, I don’t want to waste my time just waiting for a rack to be available 🥲 But last year, I was going to the gym in the morning and it was year that I saw so much progress. Maybe because I was able to replenish my body for the rest of the day compared to when I just sleep at night? Well anyway I guess what happened yesterday was my sign to change schedule. I just worked the whole day after then went to get groceries. Unexpectedly I burned so much calories. Another difference I noticed comparing morning and night schedules. More motivation for me to get up early.
