In the 19th century, brothers Carl and Anton Veltins brewed an exquisite beer at the Grevensteiner Brewery that became popular far beyond the region's borders. The C. & A. Veltins Brewery is continuing this tradition with its “Grevensteiner” beer. The naturally cloudy Grevensteiner Original is a smooth country beer brewed with soft spring water and freshly harvested hops. Traditional malts give it its amber color and full-bodied aroma—true to the German purity law. This is the story, the brewery tells directly on the backlabel of the bottle:

Although this is obviously for marketing purposes the whole story absolutely makes sense! The Veltins Brewery is a very traditional one and their country beer is a very lovely one!
First of all I prepared everything for a nice evening at the fireplace. Including #icecubes of course.

Look & Feel
The amber like liquid pours with no drama in the glass. Nice and dense foam is built up, but not too much and not too long. Perfect!

Taste
Goodness! A very mild yet fresh beer unfolded its happy taste in my mouth. Really - for sitting in front of a nice fire and a Netflix movie I cannot imagine a better drink.
Facts & Figures
With its 5.2 % Vol of alcohol the beer is located in the medium range although the alcohol is hardly to recognize due to the unusual mild taste. That is a heads up, because one could tend to drink to much before noticing its intoxicating effect. The bottle contains 0.33 liters in the typical german "Bierbeule" shape.
By shooting the pics I noticed the best before date on the label: Sep. 04th 2025. WHAT??? 🤷♀ It was absolutely delicious anyway!
