Whenever I visit my best friend in Denmark (wich is quite often because "Denmark sounds far away althgough its not even a 100 km for me) - so, whenever I visit her, we try different IPAs. This is because - other than in my german hometown groceries - there a at least like 10 or more different IPAs available in danish grocery stores and I like IPA so much!!
So it happened just a few days ago that I celebrated my birthday and she brought as a present a bag full of danish groceries, including some IPAs.
For this #beersaturday challenge I picked the only organic version I haven known of so far: THY ØKOLOGISK IPA.
Please pay attention to the ice-filled glass ;-) (Chillies just for color)
"Øl" means "beer"
5,8 % vol of alcohol, half a litre
Foam
Look & Feel
The beer came with a cloudy appearance, bright colored. The foam was very fine and dense but disappearde within 15-20 seconds.
Taste
Other than IPAs usually this one didn't provide that typical fruity aroma when getting your nose close to it. If it wouldn't have been on the label, I wouldn't have identified this as an IPA. Anyways - the taste was very mild and fresh, almost as a nonalcohlic version.
Challenge for you: Who can show (tell) me where on the pics the danish flag is hidden, gets a beer.
