Hey Actifiters!
Today started out slow. Everyone in my family, including myself, slept in a bit. Maybe wasn't the best idea with how packed the day was, but it was nice to have some extra rest.
Once we got going for the day, I worked on oil changes for both our minivan and SUV. Sasha and my mom who is visiting for the weekend. Worked on weeding in the front yard and other yard work in the backyard.
Changing oil in the minivan is a bit more of a task because I have to jack it up to access the drain plug and oil filter. However, last year I started doing it myself again because paying to have it done costs twice as much.
I kind of enjoy simple maintenance tasks like that anyways. Even though sometimes it can be a bit of work. I just try to think of it as paying myself the difference between the cost of materials and what I would pay somebody else that's where the $60 an hour comes from 🙂
The rest of the day was busy with a birthday party for one of my kids friends and then Theo's birthday party at a park nearby. We had invited his whole class and quite a few families showed up. It was fun and great to celebrate my sweet 7-year-old boy.
All said the busy day made for a lot of steps and the best kind of activity in my opinion - activity while doing things I enjoy!
