Les cuento, el pasado domingo 31 de agosto de 2025, me escapé un poco de la rutina para ir a un sitio llamado “Tierra Nueva”. La verdad, era mi primera vez por ahí, y todo fue gracias a la invitación que nos hizo el pastor Luis Maita, de la iglesia “Cristo La Única Esperanza”.
El día arrancó tempranito. Nos alistamos para llegar al punto de encuentro y subirnos al bus que nos llevaría directamente al lugar. Apenas llegamos, lo primero fue instalarnos para iniciar con el culto que corresponde cada domingo. Terminamos con un “¡Amén!” bien fuerte y, como no podía quedarme quieto, salí a explorar un poco. Aproveché para tomar algunas fotos de los alrededores y hasta me animé a hacer unos ejercicios isométricos avanzados en el parque y en las orillas del río.
Después de tanto movimiento, me lancé al río un rato para refrescarme del calorón. Al salir, me invitaron a jugar voleibol bajo el sol. No me importó ni un poquito y me metí de lleno al juego, ¡lo disfruté un montón! Claro, el disfrute me salió caro: al rato empecé a sentir los efectos, con quemaduras de sol y unas lesiones en los codos, como ya les había contado.
Luego de eso, llegó la hora del almuerzo. Comimos todos juntos, reposamos un rato y me sumé a una partida de dominó. La verdad, me enganché tanto que se me pasó el resto de la tarde volando. De hecho, estaba tan concentrado que se me olvidó por completo tomar fotos de estas últimas dos actividades. Ya cuando nos dimos cuenta, era hora de volver al bus para regresar a casa.
En resumen, fue un día buenísimo, de verdad que lo disfruté bastante, a pesar de los detallitos con las quemaduras y lesiones. Sin más que decirles, ¡nos vemos en la próxima!

Let me tell you, last Sunday, August 31, 2025, I took a little break from my routine to go to a place called "Tierra Nueva." To be honest, it was my first time there, and it was all thanks to the invitation from Pastor Luis Maita, from the "Cristo La Única Esperanza" church.
The day started early. We got ready to go to the meeting point and board the bus that would take us directly to the site. As soon as we arrived, the first thing we did was settle in to begin the Sunday service. We ended with a loud "Amen!" and, since I couldn't sit still, I went out to explore a little. I took the opportunity to take some photos of the surroundings and even dared to do some advanced isometric exercises in the park and on the riverbank.
After all that activity, I jumped into the river for a while to cool off from the heat. When I got out, they invited me to play volleyball under the sun. I didn't care one bit and threw myself into the game. I enjoyed it so much! Of course, the fun came at a price: after a while, I started to feel the effects, with sunburn and injuries to my elbows, as I already told you.
After that, it was time for lunch. We all ate together, rested for a while, and I joined in a game of dominoes. To be honest, I got so hooked that the rest of the afternoon flew by. In fact, I was so focused that I completely forgot to take pictures of these last two activities. Before we knew it, it was time to get back on the bus and head home.
In short, it was a great day, I really enjoyed it, despite the minor details with the burns and injuries. Without further ado, see you next time!
