I took my time today as I decided to sleep in and not head to the gym in the morning as I knew I had time in the afternoon for a good workout. Work remained light with some peaks during the day but I also was able to get outside for walk in the morning between meetings to get good activity in. The weather remains great so I am looking forward to more outdoor strolls in the coming weeks.
I fed myself well in preparation for my gym lifting session which was going to be heavy. I had good protein and even carbs to get ready for some good energy at the gym. Unfortunately, it did not work as expected as I struggled to complete my sets despite the food. I was going heavy so I knew it would not be easy but it felt better on Saturday when I did the same routine. This will be the last heavy session for a couple of weeks as I shift from deload to an endurance based routine so let’s see if the progress keeps up in the future.
