Hi all! Thank you for checking in on my running blog!

After a week of holiday I got home on Friday and started to add some miles on my weekly routine.

Running is both a physical aswell as a mental game.

When I woke up this morning I realized that today I would be training my mental game - maybe due to the holidays or maybe due to climbing up and down a ladder countless times yesterday while working on painting my house, or just my night of bad sleep.. who knows … but my legs were tired from the start.

These are training days you really have to embrace, especially when they are on days where you had planned an easy long run (would not be that beneficial if it happens on a day with planned speed training) - for now it just gave me an opportunity to train when your body doesn’t feel like it , which is important to master because if it will happen on a race you will know what to do aswell!

I have seen many runners during marathons that needed to dig deep and clenched their fists and shoulder muscles and looked liked they where in complete misery…

So what should you do, when it becomes harder?
relax , keep your muscles relaxed. Keep your body upright and your hands unclenched. Scan your body every 5-10 min to check if you are still relaxed and in good posture. But how?? SMILE , when you smile you relax your face and shoulder muscles relax.

today’s I went for a mix of paved and unpaved routes. Where I started at my favorite unpaved part in the area https://img.leopedia.io/DQmQj5rRtHPUaXYcwUYuAaC9LF46rPywmDVponQ8mseMZgK/IMG_3880.jpeg

After which I went to a more crowded area that attracts a lot of Sunday morning runners. More paved routes but also quite beautiful view.

My pace was again based on a low heartbeat (sub 150 bpm) and my pace was roughly 5:10-5:15 min / km
