A necessary pause (Eng/Esp)

A couple of days ago I was in the city center with my husband. Our goal was clear; to buy little Alma's fruits and look for other supplies. Although it was after four o'clock in the afternoon, the sun was shining brightly and it was quite hot. As we passed in front of the Fatima bakery, which also sells ice cream, pizzas, chicken and other delicacies, my husband wanted to toast some ice cream to cool us down.  He went to the cashier, while I set aside a table outdoors, with a direct look at the road, said space is roofed, however, the sun was filtering in and reaching every corner, so I had to find the best place so we wouldn't get hit by the glare, otherwise the ice creams would melt very fast and we would have to race against time 😅.  One aspect to highlight is that around the tables, bordering the entire space, they placed a small garden of colorful artificial flowers. This idea seemed to me to be a good idea since the design brightens up the view and beautifies the place, undoubtedly a unique touch to distinguish it from other places or bakeries.  I had a nice time in the company of my husband, even though he doesn't like pictures 😅. Unfortunately, the ice cream did not meet my expectations, it was not creamy and the chocolate flavor was not a homogeneous mix. I know I can't ask that much from a machine bar, but I've tasted better, ones that aim for the perfect balance between smoothness and sweetness, that sensation that seduces the palate. I continue to collect pleasant moments to accompany them with smiles, after all: "Laughing is free".

Hace un par de días estuve en el centro de la ciudad con mi esposo. Nuestro objetivo era claro; comprar las frutas de la pequeña Alma y buscar otras provisiones. A pesar de que eran más de las cuatro de la tarde, los ratos solares estaban intensos y hacia bastante calor. Al pasar al frente de la panadería Fátima, en la cual también venden helados, pizzas, pollo y otras exquisiteces, mi esposo quiso brindar unos helados para refrescarnos.  Él fue a la caja, mientras que yo aparté una mesa al aire libre, con una mirada directa a la carretera, dicho espacio está techado, sin embargo, el sol se filtraba y llegaba a todos los rincones, así que tuve que buscar el mejor lugar para que no nos pegara el resplandor, de lo contrario los helados se derretirían muy rápido y tendríamos que hacer una carrera contra el tiempo 😅.  Un aspecto a destacar es que alrededor de las mesas, bordeando todo el espacio, colocaron un pequeño jardín de flores artificiales muy colorido. Esta idea me pareció acertada ya que el diseño alegra la vista y embellece el lugar, sin duda, un toque único para distinguirse de otros locales o panaderías.  Pasé un rato agradable en compañía de mi esposo, aunque a él no le agraden las fotos 😅. Lamentablemente, el helado no cumplió con mis expectativas, no estaba cremoso y el sabor a chocolate no era una mezcla homogénea. Sé que no puedo pedir tanto de una barquilla de máquina, pero he degustado mejores, unas que apuntan al equilibrio perfecto entre suavidad y dulzura, esa sensación que seduce al paladar. Sigo coleccionando momentos gratos para acompañarlos de sonrisas, después de todo: "Reír es gratis".
