I then decided to buy a puzzle with Mickey Mouse characters, she loved it and said: "Mini" several times, she pronounces that word clearly. The easiest part was to undo it, here she was an expert throwing pieces everywhere 😅. Now came the most complicated part, which was to put together a fraction, using the similarities she could find in the colors. She tried several times without any favorable result, so she got frustrated and, as a sign of losing her patience, she messed everything up and tried to give up the activity.
I thought it was best to take a break and let him do something else that would not generate anxiety, because the most important thing for me is that he enjoys the process and has fun. So we went back to the puzzle the next day, dedicating some time for him to familiarize himself with the pieces, so he could put together Minnie's face.
At home we have a Rubik's cube, I explained to the child that it took me a long time to learn how to put it together correctly, which led me down the path of frustration and impatience. But I didn't give up and now I can put it together in no time, which gives me great satisfaction.
I know that putting a puzzle together for the first time is a process that requires patience and Alma, along the way, can acquire some manual skills as long as she is stimulated to coordinate her senses. The vital thing is to carry out the process at her own pace, only then will it be successful. Así que volvimos al rompecabezas al día siguiente, dedicando un tiempo para que se familiarizara con las piezas, así pudo armar la cara de Minnie.
En casa tenemos un cubo de Rubik, le expliqué a la niña que me llevó mucho tiempo aprender a armarlo correctamente, lo que me llevó por el camino de la frustración y la impaciencia. Pero no desistí y ahora puedo armarlo en poco tiempo, lo que me provoca una gran satisfacción.
