My impressions of @dimeilaz's performance of "Shallow" (Eng/Esp)

Starting a new project may generate a bit of anxiety, since the challenges we set as a priority mark our destiny. When I was a teenager, I imagined myself on a big stage, delighting the public with my voice. I had a dream, I wanted to be a singer, however, I myself put a brake on my desires, thinking that I lacked talent. From then on, I decided to express my frustration by writing songs. All this preamble comes to mind because several years ago I had the opportunity to enjoy the movie **A star is born** and I was deeply moved, not only because of the story itself, but because it reminded me how difficult it is to achieve a successful musical career. I consider that the performances of Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga were outstanding, both came to inhabit my skin, bringing back memories that invaded me with nostalgia.  To feel without identity is to wander through life without a clear horizon. If depression, alcoholism and drug addiction are added to this situation, a dangerous and discouraging panorama is brewing. This dismal path is part of the destiny of Jack Maine (Cooper), a character who falls into an abyss of no return after realizing that he is an artist in decline and that his glory days will never return. Ally (Gaga) accompanies him in this process, while he fights his own battles (his fears). When I was reviewing posts, I find that @dimeilaz did a magnificent rendition of **Shallow**, the theme song of the movie, which he selected for the 39th week of the Vibes community contest. I sat down to listen and was fascinated, again the images of the film came back to my mind and with them my youthful desire, which was to become a renowned singer. Ilaz's voice is very well heard, he looked for the perfect track to make the adjustments so that the audio is projected crisp and clear. Her voice stands out for its brightness and nuances. Her interpretation goes deep, she projects the theme with feeling and therefore transcends.  Cover of Ilaz's post Recording the chorus with his own voice seems to me a great idea and even more so when everything is coupled together making a sound delivery worthy of the contest. Watching the split screen while performing the choruses in parallel was a successful strategy to emphasize that all the voices heard in her performance belong to her. The song **Shallow** shows us a contrast in the feeling of emptiness and the perception of success that a man and a woman have in the face of stardom. He leaves the scene, feeling that his artistic decadence has hit rock bottom, while she bursts with strength and is on her way to the top. Both coincided in a very convulsive stage of their lives, they go through a conflictive courtship, until the time comes to make decisions. The song is touching and even more so when the images of the film are inserted in the references. I enjoyed Ilaz's version to the point of dedicating these lines to congratulate him. Iniciar un nuevo proyecto quizás genere un poco de ansiedad, dado que los desafíos que marcamos como prioridad signan nuestro destino. En mi época adolescente me imaginaba sobre un gran escenario, deleitando al público con mi voz. Tenía un sueño, quería ser cantante, sin embargo, yo misma puse un freno a mis anhelos, al pensar que carecía de talento. A partir de allí decidí exteriorizar aquella frustración escribiendo canciones. Todo este preámbulo viene a colación porque hace varios años atrás tuve la oportunidad de disfrutar la película **A star is born** y me conmovió profundamente, no solo por la historia en sí, sino porque me recordó lo difícil que es lograr una exitosa carrera musical. Considero que las actuaciones de Bradley Cooper y de Lady Gaga fueron sobresalientes, ambos llegaron a habitar mi piel, trayendo recuerdos que me invadieron de nostalgia.

 Sentirse sin identidad es deambular por la vida sin un horizonte claro. Si a esa situación se le añade la depresión, el alcoholismo y la drogadicción, se estaría gestando un panorama peligroso y desalentador. Transitar por esta lúgubre senda es parte del destino de Jack Maine (Cooper), personaje que cae en un abismo sin retorno tras advertir que es un artista venido a menos y nunca volverán sus días de gloria. En tanto Ally (Gaga) lo acompaña en este proceso, mientras lucha sus propias batallas (sus miedos). Cuando estaba revisando publicaciones, me encuentro con que @dimeilaz realizó una magnífica interpretación de **Shallow**, el tema musical de la película, el cual seleccionó para la semana 39 del concurso de la comunidad de Vibes. Me senté a escuchar y quedé fascinada, de nuevo las imágenes del filme regresaron a mi mente y con ellas mi deseo de juventud, que era convertirme en una reconocida cantante. La voz de Ilaz se escucha muy bien, buscó la pista perfecta para realizar los ajustes y de esta forma que el audio se proyecte nítido y claro. Su voz resalta por su brillo y sus matices. Su interpretación cala hondo, proyecta el tema con sentimiento y por ello trasciende.  Portada del post de Ilaz Grabar el coro con su propia voz me parece una idea genial y más aún cuando todo se acopla haciendo una entrega sonora digna del concurso. Observar la pantalla dividida mientras realiza los coros en paralelo fue una estrategia acertada para destacar que todas las voces que se escuchan en su interpretación le pertenecen. El tema **Shallow** nos muestra un contraste en el sentimiento de vacío y la percepción de éxito que posee un hombre y una mujer ante el estrellato. Él sale de escena, presiente que su decadencia artística tocó fondo, mientras ella irrumpe con fuerza y va rumbo a la cima. Ambos coincidieron en una etapa de sus vidas muy convulsas, transitan por un noviazgo conflictivo, hasta que llega el momento de tomar decisiones. La canción es conmovedora y más cuando se insertan las imágenes del filme en las referencias. Disfruté la versión de Ilaz hasta el punto de dedicarle estas líneas para felicitarlo.
