New activities (Eng/Esp)

While play has become the perfect language for little ones, from my perspective as a mom, fun must be accompanied by learning, not only to shape behaviors but also to stimulate cognitive and motor development.  Alma is making good progress, so I offer her to work with different materials and instruments, this time we used red crepe paper and white glue. The idea was to fill an apple, of which I drew a silhouette on a recycling sheet. What pleased me most about this experience was her initiative, she said "me", indicating that she wanted to try.  I helped her to use a blunt-tipped scissors and although she did not master the tool, I observed her very confident holding it, putting her fingers through the holes and doing the cutting action, but she did not hold it well. There we changed the strategy, so I started tearing the paper, then crumpling it to make little balls, also tearing little pieces. Alma imitated me perfectly and took control of the activity.  The only thing left to do was to glue the paper in the space designated for it (the silhouette of the apple), I took the white glue and showed her how to do it. She knew how to handle the container and adjust the amount of glue, I was surprised because she didn't make any mess, she has shown to be an orderly child and follows instructions.  And as it usually happens with children, after about 20 minutes he got bored with this activity and wanted to play with other objects, including the ornaments in the house 😅. I am happy with her progress, her smiles ring in my ears like a sweet song 😊, I feel proud of her progress. I will continue to perform various pedagogical exercises to improve their skills.

Si bien el juego se ha convertido en el lenguaje perfecto para los pequeños, desde mi enfoque como mamá la diversión debe venir acompañada de aprendizaje, no solo para moldar comportamientos sino también para estimular el desarrollo cognitivo y motriz.

 Alma está avanzando de forma satisfactoria, de allí que le ofrezca trabajar con diferentes materiales e instrumentos, en esta ocasión, utilizamos papel crepé rojo y pega blanca. La idea era rellenar una manzana, de la cual dibujé una silueta en una hoja de reciclaje. Lo que más que agradó de esta experiencia fue su iniciativa, ella decía "yo", indicando que lo quería intentar.  La ayudé a utilizar una tijera de punta roma y aunque no dominó la herramienta, la observé muy segura agarrándola, metiendo sus dedos por los agujeros y haciendo la acción de cortar, pero no sujetaba bien. Allí cambiemos la estrategia, entonces comencé a rasgar el papel, posteriormente lo arrugaba para hacer bolitas, también arrancaba pedacitos. Alma me imitó perfectamente y tomó el control de la actividad.  Solo restaba pegar el papel en el espacio destinado para ello (la silueta de la manzana), tomé la pega blanca y le mostré cómo hacerlo. Ella supo cómo manejar el envase y ajustar la cantidad de pega, me quedé sorprendida porque no hizo ningún desastre, ha mostrado ser una niña ordenada y sigue instrucciones.  Y como suele suceder con los niños, después de unos 20 minutos se aburrió de esta actividad y quería jugar con otros objetos, incluyendo los adornos de la casa 😅. Estoy feliz con su progreso, sus sonrisas resuenan en mis oídos como un dulce canto 😊, me siento orgullosa de su avance. Continuaré realizando diversos ejercicios pedagógicos para mejorar sus habilidades.
