Walk along "El Islote" Avenue (Eng/Esp)

On my walk along "El Islote" Avenue towards the Municipal Market, I came across an infrastructure that is under construction. Upon investigating a little, I was informed that it is the "Antonio José de Sucre" Market, a project that has not been completed, despite various efforts of the government in office.   It caught my attention because the structure looked very good, at first sight it looks like a shed, I even consider it habitable, but, according to some passers-by, it does not have adequate lighting or plumbing for bathrooms. This place would be destined for the hawkers of Mariño and Bermudez Streets to develop their commercial activity.   This project seemed feasible because it would clear the downtown area, since the peddlers have taken over the sidewalks, thus limiting the passage of pedestrians, who often have to walk along the road at the risk of being run over. However, the removal of the hawkers could also affect their sales, since "El Islote" Avenue is not very busy, unlike the center where most of the inhabitants circulate, due to the different stores and establishments of goods and services.   This problem is more than two decades old, hence the construction of this infrastructure so that the people of Cumana would have a comfortable place away from the hustle and bustle of public transportation to do their shopping. The collective is waiting for its prompt inauguration to feel the results in the front row. 

En mi recorrido por la Avenida "El Islote" rumbo al Mercado Municipal, me topé con una infraestructura que se encuentra en construcción. Al investigar un poco me informaron que se trata del Mercado de Buhoneros **Antonio José de Sucre**, un proyecto que no se ha concluido, pese a diferentes esfuerzos de los gobernantes de turno.   Me llamó la atención porque la estructura se veía muy bien, a primera vista parece un galpón, incluso la considero habitable, pero, según algunos transeúntes, no posee la iluminación adecuada ni las tuberías para los baños. Este lugar estaría destinado para que los buhoneros de la Calle Mariño y Bermúdez desarrollen su actividad comercial.   Este proyecto se veía viable ya que despejaría el centro de la ciudad, puesto que los buhoneros se han apropiado de las aceras, limitando así el paso de los transeúntes, quienes muchas veces deben caminar por la carretera a riesgo de ser atropellados. Sin embargo, la mudanza de los buhoneros también podría afectar sus ventas, ya que la Avenida "El Islote" es poco concurrida, a diferencia del centro donde circulan la mayoría de los habitantes, debido a las diferentes tiendas y establecimientos de bienes y servicios.   Este problema tiene más de dos décadas, de allí que se construyera esta infraestructura para que los cumaneses tuvieran un lugar cómodo y alejado del bullicio del transporte público para realizar sus compras. El colectivo espera su pronta inauguración para palpar los resultados en primera fila.
