My experience in Radio (Eng/Esp)

Life is built on experiences, and since it is a finite journey, we must make the most of every moment. That is why every opportunity should nourish you and guide you toward new horizons. The truth is that I have never been someone who likes to be in the spotlight; I celebrate my victories discreetly. Although a little attention now and then doesn't seem bad to me.  Recently, my husband was invited to a radio program, and I had never visited a station before. It would also be the first time for little Alma to observe the dynamics within this medium of communication. So, I had the opportunity to accompany my husband to an interview at the radio station Cumanesa 105.3 FM, as he was one of the speakers at the forum "Writing about sports: passion and literature" to be held at Casa Ramos Sucre.  We attended the program "Download Show" with host Alberto Ortiz, a space to promote cultural activities in the city. So Professor Adriana Cabrera, director of Casa Ramos Sucre, made the contact to carry out the activity and project the value of these two disciplines that seem distant but are intertwined and complementary. The host is a very charismatic and attentive person, so we felt very well taken care of.  I was in the booth and watched everything that happened from the front row alongside Baby Bee, who rose to the occasion. I was surprised by her maturity as she remained silent, listening attentively to the radio host and the guests' comments. This world is fascinating; the radio host and the operator displayed amazing coordination in the space, especially when announcing commercials and playing music.  Your perspective definitely changes when you move from one environment to another. When I listened to the radio at home, I imagined that producing a program was complex because everything is live. However, watching Alberto Ortiz in action, I realized that broadcasting is a way of life; everything about him was spontaneous, as easy as breathing. Being in that booth, I felt like I was part of the action, even though my role was more of a supporting one, so that my husband would feel that we are proud of him and interested in his projects. 

La vida se construye a base de experiencias y como es un camino finito debemos aprovechar cada instante. De allí que cada oportunidad debe nutrirte y encauzarte hacia nuevos horizontes. La verdad es que nunca he sido una persona que le agrade permanecer bajo los reflectores, celebro mis victorias de forma discreta. Aunque un poco de atención, ocasionalmente, no me parece mal.  Recientemente mi esposo fue invitado a un programa de radio y yo nunca había visitado una estación, también sería la primera vez para la pequeña Alma de observar la dinámica dentro de este medio de comunicación. Así que se dio la oportunidad de acompañar a mi esposo a una entrevista en la emisora Cumanesa 105, 3 FM en virtud de que él sería uno de los ponente en el Foro "Escribir el deporte: pasión y literatura" a realizarse en la Casa Ramos Sucre.  Asistimos al programa "Descarga Show" con el locutor Alberto Ortiz, espacio para promocionar lo que se hace en la ciudad a nivel cultural. Así que la profesora Adriana Cabrera, directora de la Casa Ramos Sucre, hizo el contacto para realizar la actividad y proyectar el valor de estas dos disciplinas que parecen lejanas, pero se entrelazan y complementan. El locutor es una persona muy carismática y atenta, así que nos sentimos muy bien atendidos.  Estuve en la cabina y observé todo lo ocurrido en primera fila junto a Baby Bee, quien se portó a la altura del compromiso. Me sorprendió su madurez ya que se mantuvo en silencio, escuchando de forma atenta al locutor y la intervención de los invitados. Este mundo es fascinante, el locutor y el operador exhibieron una coordinación sorprendente en el espacio, sobre todo a la hora de anunciar la publicidad y musicalizar.  Definitivamente, la perspectiva cambia cuando te trasladas de un ámbito a otro. Cuando escuchaba la radio en casa me imaginaba que la producción de un programa era compleja porque todo es en vivo. Sin embargo, al observar a Alberto Ortiz en acción, comprendí que la locución es una forma de vida, todo en él era espontáneo, tan fácil como respirar. Estando en esa cabina me sentía parte de los protagonistas, aún cuando mi papel fue más de apoyo, para que mi esposo sienta que estamos orgullosos de él y nos interesamos por sus proyectos.
